With fifteen years delivering fitouts and refurbishments in live hospitals, universities and busy offices. From humble beginnings as a grad in commercial construction, Mark has navigated and learned from every role in the game. He has experience as a contracts administrator, site supervisor, project manager, estimator, BDM, estimating manager and most recently General Manager, before launching Obsidian Build.
Two drivers set his course: always test the smarter tool and always invest in the stronger relationship. He is equally at home field testing predictive scheduling software as he is sharing a late coffee with clients to understand their daily needs. That blend of innovation and empathy enables him to focus project programmes from a truly blank screen, building in accuracy while business keeps breathing.
Trades back him because he pairs tech efficiency with respect for craft. Clients trust him because he deeply values their voice in the project. Jessica translates stories into spaces. With a background that runs from legal casework and senior teaching to interior architecture and art practice, she brings a rare mix of precision, empathy and creative discipline to Obsidian Build.
Her process starts with listening. She maps the client narrative, finds the thread that matters most and craft every touch point to reflect it, from the first briefing session to the final walk through. Design thinking guides her eye and rigorous communication keeps the project team aligned.
Jessica is the voice behind Obsidian Build’s brand and the advocate for each client’s day to day reality. She ensures visual identity and documentation speak the same language of lasting quality. Clients value her openess and willingness to hear their voice and vision for their project.
